Shonn Stahlecker is Vice President of Finance, where he leads the company’s accounting, financial planning & analysis, and financial reporting functions with a focus on accuracy, transparency, and strategic insight. A Certified Public Accountant with deep expertise in financial analysis, audit, technical accounting, and reporting, Shonn brings more than two decades of experience helping high-growth companies scale with sound financial practices.

Prior to joining Boom, Shonn was the Controller at Jagged Peak Energy, where he played a pivotal role in guiding the company’s journey from startup through IPO to successful sale. Over the course of Jagged Peak’s six-year lifespan, he provided critical, steady financial leadership, building and managing a lean but high-performing accounting team that helped guide the organization through rapid growth and transformation. 

Earlier in his career, Shonn led financial reporting and technical accounting at Berry Petroleum, where he drove improvements in the quality and timeliness of SEC reporting and ensured compliance with evolving regulatory requirements. He began his career at KPMG, spending six years managing audit and consulting engagements for a range of clients across multiple industries.

Shonn earned a BS and MS in Accounting from Brigham Young University. Outside of the office, Shonn enjoys traveling and spending time in the mountains with his family.
